Searching Very Slow

Im using it for a very basic contact management. Im pushing my ACT contacts to the iphone. Im not using it for calendars or any other function so this review is limited.

My main issue is that the contact search function is very, very slow. When you type it takes about 3 seconds for each key to register. My thought is that maybe I have too many contacts at about 8,000 but they report you can have up to 40,000 so I can only surmise that it is a programming issue. I really only use it in must have situations when I"m on the road. I would use it more extensively but its quite frustrating particularly when you dont get immediate feedback on the key strokes and you end up having to go back and retype.

For what I need it to do its functional but frustrating.
